Nice shots! Kinda desolate out there, huh? I tested that route a couple weeks ago in a DC-3. But it takes a while, and the minimum IFR altitudes are around 14,000 ft in some places, so it's not very comfortable for the pax. The CV-240 is much better suited for those trips.
Looks like it was a nice flight!

On Final for 28R, finally. It was a long 2.5 hr flight. A-wha?! I thought I turned off all my WOAI. I heard they had them fancy jet engined aircraft, but I didn't know they were in production already! lol

Looks like it was a nice flight! It is a good thing the CV-240 is rated for 16,000 ft. and I can safely assume it is pressurized since the maximum for unpressurized flight is 12,000 ft.

Haha... very interesting juxtaposition in that last shot. Gotta love FS! Everything after the DC-4 was pressurized. The little Convair should be good up to 25,000 if it's really light and it's cold outside. 25,000 is the highest you can go without having drop-down oxygen masks for the pax. 2.5 from SLC-SFO isn't too bad. Probably takes an hour and a half gate-to-gate in a 737. And the seat pitch and width in the Convair are a lot more generous. 2.5 in a CV-240 is probably at least as comfortable as 1.5 in a 737...

I'll take your word as gospel regarding the max altitude of the CV240. In my research, I've seen numbers from 16,000 all the way up to FL300. When I first flew the CV240, one of my add-ons showed the plane as being unpressurized. So, that first flight from DEN > SLC was a bit like bush flying over the Front Range to keep her under 12,000 ft. (The ground crew at SLC did ask about the bits of needles stuck in the crevices on the bottom of fuselage. I casually blamed the crew in DEN for pulling a prank). The flight from SCL > SFO is scheduled for 2.5 hrs, but when you're over featureless terrain it can make that 2.5 hrs seem a lot longer.

Alone no mo ;D Keep yer eyes peeled, there's LOTS of propliner ai action in the southwest US, esp in So-Cal. using CalClassics ai and scenery www.calclassic.com/60's era jets too.
